"Post office at your Doorstep" a special inititative by Haryana Circle through HaryanaPost mobile app

Today, Smt. Ranju Prasad, Chief Postmaster General, Haryana has launched the "HaryanaPost" android based mobile app to provide the doorstep services to citizen. This app will support the special initiative "Post office at Your doorstep" vision and will also help in control the spread of COVID-19

I.T. Cell Haryana has developed this in-house app under the guidance of Sh. Nirmal Singh DPS HQ Haryana, in just 10 days.

The internal details of project are explained as under:-

1. Customers have been enabled to place AEPS request. With the help of GPS, this feature can be accessed in Haryana State only and the request is auto allotted to IPPB branch based on geo-fencing mapping by the software itself. IPPB Branches have been provided the access to allot the request to the end user with specified time schedule. Customer will be updated about the request status. if IPPB Corporate office agrees to push the internal version of this app in MDM Controlled phones in Haryana, every end users will get the real time notification about the allotment of request and also can update the real time status of the request. this will lead the cent percent automation of the process.

2. PLI and RPLI customers have been enabled to get updated their email id, mobile number through the app. Policy bond photo and OTP authentication are obtained for verification purpose. The requests are being allotted to CPC based on GPS coordinates and this feature can be accessed in Haryana only. CPC will get the print out of the request and will be kept the same in record after updating the same in Macmish. Customer will be further diverted to India Post website to generate customer id and make the payment.

3. Customers are being provided the essential items through digital payment. tie-up with one business institution has been made to provide the santizer and mask on government controlled price. There is also provision to enroll other business institutions for selling the essential items through this app. If any business institution want to sell the items in particular pincode, this app is also enabling the same. The digital payments are being directly received through locally designed payment mechanism and even without payment of any third party payment gateway charges. The two factor payment authentication mechanism have been built for proper and safe accounting system.

4. The vendors have been provided the live access of the portal to add the new items, stock updation, generation of the order slip with prebuilt barcode series for despatch of the articles and other reports are also working.

5. Linked Post offices have also been provided the live access of the portal to generate the soft copy of booking data to post in CSI POS for automated booking of the articles.

6. Promotion of IPPB Mobile banking is being made for digital payment of RD, PPF & Sukanya samridhi.

7. Doorstep booking of Speed Post articles will be rolled out very shortly. Technical team Haryana is already working on that.

8. Customer will be updated on each and every event about the request.

9. This app will be helpful in sending the free notifications to all mobile where this app has been installed. This will also help in digital marketing of postal products. 

10. The data movement between server and app is safe with 128 bit three layer encryption.
