PoTools & All DOP Officials Suggests,
DOP has clarified that the Post Offices and RMS units comes under essential service and could not lockdown till 31.03.2020. Yes. it is acceptable and appreciable. But, the possibilities for the officials are working in the counter who are directly dealt the customer and the cash more dangerous in this situation as many nationalised banks have decided to do their transaction in cashless mode. Still we are lack in the technology and also in awareness about COVID-19.
Union should submit a valid demands and get favour to the employees.
Recently, DOP has released order in Mumbai, Maharashtra Circle stated that the official working in Administrative Offices may attend the office on alternate days i.e CO/RO/DO. Well Said. But there is some partiality is there in this order. In this COVID -19 outbreak situation the Department should care about all the officials in DOP. Actually, the Administrative Officials are working in back office and also in safer Zone. Unfortunately, the officials working in Operative Offices are in very dangerous zone.
The same request may please be submitted by the Circle Union for the officials working in Branch Offices. Union should take necessary steps about the officials may permit to work on alternate days in All Administrative/Operative Offices including Branch Post Office till April 14, 2020.
Union should take the issue to higher level to permit all the officials work on alternate days like administrative offices. So that all should be treated equally and avoid communal virus spread.
It is suggested that
1. All post offices to open on alternate days/Officials may permit to attend the office on alternate days.
2. All offices to work in skeletal strength
3. All delivery to be shut till 31st March
4. BPCs to be closed
5. Window delivery if someone wants to collect his/her article
6. Notices to be put up in each post office
7. Control room at DO and RO
8. No IPPB either through micro ATM or counters
