Major changes in Transfer Policy Guidelines dated 31.07.2018

In recent orders of Transfer policy guidelines, the following major changes took place.

1. Officials will be rotated every 3 years instead of 4 years.

2. Temporary transfer allowed for 3 years(earlier 2 years only)and one or two spells. 3 years gap for second spell.

3. Two years and probotion should have been completed for Rule 38 transfer.

4. Transfer under Rule 38 shall be considered once in a year as under:a) Transfer case shall be considered only in the month of December.b) orders shall be issued by 31"1 December by the competent authority, transfernngthe official w.e.f. 1"t April of the following year, thus allowing theadmin istration/official to plan in the intervening period. In such a case, controfingofficer shall issue relieving order of the official latest by 3i"t March, failing which,official will be deemed io be relieved on 01"1 April.
