PAN Not required for Operating Central Govt Accounts

Some of the Banks linked with Head Post offices for Remittance and Drawal purposes are in habit asking PAN Card when the Deposit amount exceeds Rs. 50000/- even though the Account is in the name Postmaster. For operating the Central Govt Accounts we are exempted to  produce PAN Cards. The orders issued by Min. of Finance / IT Dept is shown below.(Click below Download Link)
