Pre-Requisites

Point Of Sale for franchised outlet version 6.6 is available at ftp://cept.gov.in/FranchisedOutlet/ 

Installation/Up-gradation Procedure 

General Instructions

• Please ensure that the application is upgraded to Point Of Sale version 6.6.
• Please take backup of Counter database after completion of the day’s work before proceeding for going for up-gradation of this update. 
• Please follow the below procedure for upgrading applications.

1. Rename the existing Pointofsale.exe and copy the downloaded Pointofsale.exe in the installation path.
2. Upgrade the Counter database by running Counter 1.exl and Counter 2.exl files in sequence using the script tool.
3. Copy the Utilities.dll to the Point of Sale Client installation path and register the file.

Issues rectified and new features added

New Features 

1. Incorporated the foreign tariff revision which is effective from 1.12.2015.
2. Incorporated the Swachh Bharat Cess.
3. Incrporated the revised service tax.
4. Incorporated the service tax and sbcess on first year premium and renewal premiums for Postal Life Insurance .
5. Compatibility to print through USB ports.
