Common issues Observed by CEPT in Parcel COD

Non Receipt of Electronic Data at Delivery offices

Reasons:
  1. Booking information is not available with Central Server. 
  2. Booking information is available with Server, but the article is booked as a non-COD Parcel.
  3. The Delivery Post Office is not upgraded to Meghdoot 7.9.2 or 7.9.3
  4. The COD article was already received by some other office and returns taken by that office as “Returned to Sender”
  5. RNet Communication is not upgraded properly or Network problem in Post Office

Non transmission of delivery amount for payment

Reasons:
  1. The biller is not created as a Parcel COD Billers.
  2. BO Verification not done
  3. ePayment  is not upgraded. 
  4. ePayment Registered machine has been changed & the communication has been sent from the  changed machine
  5. ePayment Communication has been done using the Data Card.

Poor awareness OR deliberate non implementation of the correct process.

  • For COD,   both physical and electronic transmission should match 
  • Any mistake on the part of one office has impact on the subsequent  offices in the service chain
  • The process defined should be strictly followed by booking, transmission, delivery and payment offices
