Config file Missing error at the time of Booting in Windows XP

Booting Issues of windows XP - Config file Missing

Windows\system32\config\system File Is Missing Or Corrupt - When this error occurs at the time of booting  XP won't start, 

Solution:

Boot with the XP CD and go to the RecoveryConsole.

Type:

cd system32\config [enter]

ren system system.old [enter]

ren system.alt systemalt.old [enter]

copy c:\windows\repair\system [enter]

copy c:\windows\repair\regback\system [enter]

exit
